Business Specialisations

RT IT Consulting primarily specialises in developing productive co-operation between IT and business departments to ensure project objectives are achieved. Although we work with both the public and private sectors and on projects that vary in size and scope, some of the major projects we have worked on mean we have some key areas of specialised knowledge. These areas include:

  • Core Banking – the product and customer accounting processes that underpin all banking
  • Corporate Banking Business Processes – particularly credit sanctioning and monitoring
  • Payments Systems – with an emphasis on BACS, CHAPS and Cheque Clearing
  • Money Laundering Prevention/Sanctions and Terrorism - the IT and business process impact of these on Banks and their 'KYC' process
In addition, we invest in researching new business areas that are likely to be important in driving major IT projects. Currently we are investigating:
  • BASEL II – The IT impact and business process implications of the new accord and its FSA interpretations
  • "RTIT Consulting have a close collaborative style, that allows [one] to openly discuss ideas and issues. The quality of the work performed has been consistently high throughout each engagement. The firm's size and relationship approach means that RTIT are focussed on long term value, rather than follow-on sales".

Change Management, UK Financial Services Group
  • IAS 39 – The new International Accounting Standards for financial instruments and its affect on financial and MIS systems
  • OFT/Payments Regulation – The embryonic payments systems regulation that was initiated by the Cruickshank report may have important consequences for the (heavily IT systems based) Payments operations in Banks

Our specialisations and research mean that our services add real value to our client's projects.
